Dai Nam University Medicine Guide 2026
Understand the six-year English-medium international medical programme, Hanoi clinical-training route, current evidence and the checks Indian families should complete before paying any fee.
Quick answer for Indian families
Is Dai Nam University worth researching for medicine?
Dai Nam University has launched a six-year English-taught medical programme for international students and documented an Indian first intake in 2025. Its current programme page publishes a six-year curriculum, including Vietnamese language study, and describes a two-year campus phase followed by four years of clinical training in Hanoi hospitals.
The page offers useful primary evidence, but families must still verify the exact degree title, every-year language, patient communication, internship, local licence eligibility and current fee contract. Programme availability does not by itself establish eligibility to register in India.
Terminology: Indian families often search “MBBS at Dai Nam University.” The university describes an English-taught Medicine/Medical Doctor programme. Always use the exact degree name shown on the admission letter and final award.
What is verified
Six-year curriculum, English-medium programme claim, Vietnamese language modules, Hanoi hospital training and a documented 2025 Indian intake.
What needs writing
2026 intake approval, degree title, complete fee schedule, hospital rotations, internship documents and post-degree local registration route.
What India requires
Individual compliance with the NMC rules applicable to the student, supported by complete academic and clinical records.
Published international curriculum

Hanoi hospital training needs intake-specific proof
The official Faculty of Medicine page describes a Pre-Clinical Skills Center and names hospitals used for clinical training, including Viet Duc Hospital, Vietnam National Children’s Hospital, National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Bach Mai Hospital, Hanoi Heart Hospital and Saint Paul General Hospital.
The international programme separately describes two years of theoretical study followed by four years of clinical internships at major Hanoi hospitals. Families should request the current affiliation, department, rotation duration, supervision, patient-language plan and assessment method for their own intake.
Do not rely on a hospital-logo list alone. Ask how many hours the student personally completes, who signs the record and whether the same training forms part of the awarded qualification.
India eligibility checkpoint
NMC/FMGL checks before paying a fee
Every-year language
Obtain written confirmation of the teaching, examination and clinical language. Plan for Vietnamese patient communication.
Internship and qualification
Verify whether internship/clinical practice forms part of the same foreign qualification and where it is completed.
Local licence eligibility
Ask whether the completed qualification makes its holder eligible for medical registration or practice in Vietnam, subject to local requirements.
Important: NMC does not maintain or endorse a list of “NMC-approved” foreign universities. A university website or WDOMS listing is not approval and does not guarantee Indian registration eligibility.

Budget with dated evidence
Dai Nam University medicine fees for Indian students
The university’s 10 October 2025 programme-launch material stated tuition of USD 5,000 per year for the inaugural intake. This is useful historical evidence, but it is not a confirmed 2026 fee contract. Request a dated university quotation for the intended intake.

Dai Nam University admission 2026: evidence checklist
Dai Nam University’s current public pages establish an international medical programme and a 2025 Indian intake, but a complete 2026 international admission notice was not found during this review. Do not use the domestic Vietnamese admission combinations as a substitute for international requirements.
Ask for the 2026 international applicant notice covering academic eligibility, NEET evidence for Indian applicants, English evidence, interview, translations, passport, health documents, visa support and the final application route.
Keep the offer traceable: the university name, campus, programme, degree, duration, fee, refund terms and payment recipient should match across the offer letter, contract and invoice.
Profile review
Check academics, NEET and the NMC rules for the admission year.
Programme proof
Confirm curriculum, language, hospitals, internship and local licence eligibility.
Application
Use the current university-confirmed international route.
Offer and fees
Match every amount and payment recipient to the written contract.
Visa and arrival
Confirm residence steps, hostel, insurance and arrival support.
Record keeping
Preserve syllabi, attendance, clinical logs and internship evidence.
Questions families ask
Dai Nam University FAQs
How long is the Dai Nam University medical programme?
Dai Nam University’s official international programme presents a six-year curriculum. Ask for the signed curriculum and academic calendar for your admission year, including the exact internship and clinical-practice structure.
Is Dai Nam University’s international medical programme taught in English?
The official international programme describes the course as English-medium. The published curriculum also includes Vietnamese language study. Indian applicants should obtain written confirmation of the language used in every academic year, examination, hospital placement and patient interaction.
What is the clinical-training structure?
The programme page describes two years of campus-based theory followed by four years of clinical training in Hanoi hospitals. The Faculty of Medicine names several partner hospitals, but each student should verify the current rotation sites, supervision, attendance, language and internship documents for the intended intake.
What are Dai Nam University medicine fees for Indian students?
An official October 2025 launch release stated USD 5,000 per year for the inaugural intake. That historical figure is not a confirmed 2026 contract. Request a dated, itemised university invoice covering tuition, hostel, meals, insurance, examinations, deposits, annual increases and refunds before paying.
Does Dai Nam University have Indian medical students?
The university published a decision recognising Indian international students admitted to its English-taught medicine programme for the 2025 first batch. This confirms an Indian intake, but it does not establish a student’s future eligibility for medical registration in India.
Is Dai Nam University NMC approved?
NMC does not maintain or endorse a list of ‘NMC-approved’ foreign universities. Eligibility depends on the complete programme, internship, medium, clinical training, local licence eligibility and the NMC regulations applicable to the individual student.
Why is Vietnamese language important if the programme is in English?
The classroom language and the language used with patients are different issues. The Embassy of India in Hanoi advises students to understand Vietnamese for clinical interaction and to verify the post-degree practice and local licensing pathway.
What should I verify before applying?
Request the current international admission notice, degree title, full curriculum, language statement, hospital list, internship structure, local registration eligibility, fee contract, hostel terms and refund policy. Compare the written evidence with the NMC rules that apply to your admission year.
