Students commonly use “MBBS in Vietnam” to search for an undergraduate medical qualification in Vietnam. The university may award a Doctor or Medical Doctor degree rather than a qualification titled MBBS. Compare the exact programme, teaching and clinical language, internship and local licensing route before choosing.
Vietnam is worth researching if you are prepared to evaluate the complete course and learn the language needed for patient-facing training. A low tuition figure alone is not enough to make that decision.

Understand the route before paying
NMC eligibility, clinical language and licensing
According to the Embassy of India’s 5 June 2026 advisory, foreign students need Vietnamese proficiency for patient-facing practical training. It also describes 12 months of hospital practice after the degree for local licensing, and a central licensing examination planned from 2027, likely in Vietnamese. Verify the current rules and arrangements for your graduation year.
Every academic year
Request the syllabus, degree title, teaching and assessment language, including the clinical years.
Rotations and internship
Ask which hospitals supervise training and how rotations, the degree internship and post-degree practice differ.
Registration eligibility
Obtain written information on the local licensing route and compare it with the NMC rules applicable to you.

Check the campus, degree title, itemised costs and refund terms. Use only traceable payments to the recipient named in official documentation.
Plan visa and accommodation
Confirm the appropriate study and residence arrangements, arrival support, housing, insurance and emergency contacts before travel.
Include language and licensing
Plan Vietnamese learning alongside the course. Obtain guidance on local registration and your intended route back to India.
Choose the university, then the city
Where could you study in Vietnam?
Consider your hospital placements, campus commute and accommodation as carefully as the city itself. A university’s location is not evidence that an international medical intake is available.
Request photographs or a viewing of the actual hostel, a room-cost breakdown and a clear explanation of meal arrangements. Ask who supports students if they need help after arrival.

Is MBBS in Vietnam valid in India?
There is no automatic country-wide guarantee. Your exact foreign medical qualification, course, internship, teaching language and eligibility for registration in the awarding country must meet the NMC rules applicable to you. Obtain current written programme evidence before admission.
Is medicine in Vietnam taught in English?
Some universities publish English-medium international programmes. Confirm every academic year, assessment and clinical placement for your specific intake. English teaching does not remove the need to communicate with Vietnamese-speaking patients.
How long is a medical course in Vietnam?
Nam Can Tho, Dai Nam and Hong Bang publish six-year programme information. Obtain the actual curriculum and distinguish clinical rotations within the degree from any separate post-degree practice and licensing requirements.
What are MBBS in Vietnam fees for Indian students?
Fees vary by university, intake and contract. Request a dated international-student fee schedule and add accommodation, food, insurance, visas, travel, examinations and any post-degree practice costs. We do not present an unverified agent package as an official university fee.
Are Nam Can Tho and Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy the same?
