Editorially reviewed by Dr. Akash Rao, Founder and International Education Consultant at Scholars Abroad. Public programme and admission sources checked 2 October 2026.

Before you compare: KRSU’s current programme page lists six-year General Medicine and a separate five-year General Medicine route for foreign students. Do not apply the general-route duration or fee automatically to an Indian applicant’s offer.

Quick answer for Indian students and parents

B.N. Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University is based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Its current website places medicine within the Institute of Clinical Medicine and Biomedical Technologies. Although the university name includes Russian, the study location reviewed here is Kyrgyzstan.

The current admissions catalogue distinguishes a six-year general programme from a five-year foreign-student route. A separate official educational-disclosure page also lists five years for General Medicine for foreign students, code 31.05.01. Indian families should obtain the current foreign-route curriculum and internship documents before evaluating eligibility.

Programme evidence and the key differences

01 · Route choice

Five years and six years are listed

The current admissions catalogue and education disclosure should be read together. A generic six-year statement misses the separately published foreign-student route.

02 · Language

Confirm the current cohort

Older faculty materials discuss English teaching, while the current programme listings distinguish routes. Request the 2026/27 language policy for classes, clinical placements and examinations.

03 · Fee comparison

Use the foreign-route contract

The general programme page shows a tariff that is not a verified Indian-student package. Ask which fee category and annual increases apply to the exact offer.

Admission planning for Indian students

KRSU provides a foreign-student affairs office and publishes regulations for admission and education of foreign citizens. Use that procedure to confirm the current entry requirements, education-equivalence process, language assessment, visa support and intake calendar.

The general admissions route and the foreign-student route need not use identical tests or documents. Do not reuse a Russian-language entrance-test list as a confirmed English-route checklist without current institutional guidance.

  • Class 10 and Class 12 records, with science subject results
  • Passport, photographs and any required translations or equivalence documents
  • NEET evidence and the Indian eligibility requirements applicable to the student
  • Current foreign-route admission tests or interview instructions
  • Offer and contract stating programme code, language, duration, campus and degree issuer

Plan your file with our documents and admission timeline. Admission and visa decisions remain with the responsible authorities.

KRSU fees and full-course budgeting

The general General Medicine page publishes a first-year tariff, but that figure does not establish the current fee for an Indian student in the separate foreign route. This guide deliberately avoids turning that general tariff into a foreign-student price.

Request an itemised foreign-student contract covering every year, internship, accommodation, meals, insurance, visa and registration charges. Check the invoicing currency, payment recipient, refund rules and how any annual increase is calculated. Retain the original contract alongside the Indian-rupee budget.

Use the MBBS abroad cost guide to compare the full qualification cost rather than tuition alone.

Clinical training, internship and local registration

KRSU publishes practice information for students, including medicine routes. Practical training in an academic programme and a qualifying supervised internship are related but must be documented separately. Ask for the rotation sites, timetable, attendance requirements, supervision and clinical assessment language for the foreign cohort.

The five-year disclosure is not, by itself, evidence that the programme meets the complete NMC course and internship requirements. Obtain written clarification on the additional supervised training, where it is completed and whether it belongs to the same foreign qualification.

Hostel, food and student support

The programme sources reviewed did not establish a current hostel allocation or meal package for the Indian cohort. Before budgeting, request the residence address, distance to the institute and clinical sites, room occupancy, heating, security, cooking or canteen arrangements and current charges.

Families should also confirm arrival assistance, visa and migration registration, access to health insurance and the designated university contact for academic or accommodation problems.

Six questions to send before payment

  1. Which offer applies: six-year General Medicine or the separate five-year foreign-student route?
  2. What curriculum and teaching-language policy govern the 2026/27 cohort?
  3. How is the supervised internship included in the complete qualification?
  4. Which clinical sites and assessment languages apply to foreign students?
  5. Does the qualification permit local medical registration in Kyrgyzstan?
  6. Which foreign-student fee category applies, and what are the refund and annual-increase rules?

Keep written answers and use our foreign medical university checklist to compare offers consistently.

NMC and FMGL checks for India

NMC does not endorse a blanket list of “NMC-approved” foreign medical universities. Eligibility depends on the exact programme and the student’s circumstances. Verify the complete course, supervised internship, English instruction, clinical training, local-registration eligibility and the current Indian licensing and internship requirements.

A WDOMS listing is not approval, accreditation or an Indian-registration guarantee. Read our NMC/FMGL eligibility guide and the authoritative references below.

Sources and review notes

Public pages rechecked 2 October 2026. Some institutional guidance is older than the current intake. Fees, dates, programme structures and regulatory requirements must be reconfirmed before payment. This independent guide is not a university admission offer.

Frequently asked questions

Is KRSU in Russia or Kyrgyzstan?

The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University programme reviewed here is based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Check the study country and degree issuer on the offer rather than inferring them from the university name.

Is General Medicine at KRSU five or six years?

The current catalogue lists six-year General Medicine and a separate five-year route for foreign students. The official foreign-route education disclosure also states five years. Verify the exact route and complete internship schedule.

Can I use the general-route fee for an Indian student?

Not without confirmation. The general programme tariff is not a verified fee contract for the separate foreign-student route. Request a current itemised offer for the selected programme.

Does the published duration guarantee Indian eligibility?

No. Indian eligibility requires programme-level checks under current NMC rules, including the complete course, supervised internship, English instruction and local-registration eligibility.
