Before booking accommodation: confirm the room address, rent, deposit, travel time, meal arrangements, insurance and a local emergency contact. Treat Indian-food and hostel promises as items to verify in the written offer.

What should you verify about hospital training?
HIU’s Faculty of Medicine describes practical facilities and training in specialist hospitals around southern Vietnam, particularly Ho Chi Minh City.[4] The international programme page names FV, Nguyen Tri Phuong and Dong Nai General hospitals.[1]
For your intake, request hospital agreements, rotation dates, department hours, supervision, patient-language requirements and the assessment method. A hospital name alone does not prove the training completed by an individual student.
Keep your own records: retain attendance, clinical logbooks, signed assessments, syllabi and internship certificates. Ask who issues certified copies and how to obtain them after graduation.

Vietnam language and licensing need careful planning
The Embassy of India advisory dated 5 June 2026 explains that Vietnamese proficiency is needed for patient-facing practical training. It describes 12 months of hospital practice after the undergraduate degree for Vietnam licensing, and a government licensing examination expected from 2027, likely in Vietnamese.[5]
English and Vietnamese
Separate classroom language from the language of patients, placements and licensing. Ask for an assessed language-learning plan.
Degree and internship
Map the entire course and internship against the NMC requirements applicable to you. Do not assume all clinical placements count identically.
Local registration
Obtain written university and competent-authority clarification of the route open to foreign graduates, including practice and examinations.
Important: Do not treat HIU as “NMC-approved” or use a WDOMS entry as approval. Foreign undergraduate registration is governed by the applicable FMGL, screening and admission eligibility regulations. Admission does not guarantee Indian registration.[6]

Hong Bang International University medicine fees 2026
HIU’s 2026 tuition page directs Medicine applicants to contact the university about the Hippocrates scholarship. It does not provide a complete international six-year fee contract in the public table.[2]
Why we are not publishing a fixed rupee package: the international MD page contains a first-year USD 5,500 figure alongside older admission-year material. We have not verified that as a current 2026 offer. Get an intake-specific quotation before making a payment.[1]
