CTUMPMedical education in Can Tho, VietnamQuick answer for your shortlist
Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy is a medical university in Can Tho, Vietnam. Its Faculty of Medicine describes undergraduate Medical Doctor education, while its undergraduate chart lists General Medicine as a six-year programme.[1][2]
For Indian applicants, the decision depends on the exact admission route: teaching and examination language, patient-facing training, internship, full costs and the local licensing pathway. The English website and published international fee notice do not independently establish an English-medium Indian intake.
Two universities, two identities: CTUMP is not Nam Can Tho University. Scholars Abroad’s NCTU visit and MoU photographs relate to NCTU; they are not evidence of a CTUMP partnership. Compare the Nam Can Tho University guide.

Request the current international admission notice and written language and clinical-training details.
Separate one academic year of tuition from housing, travel, insurance and later-year charges.
Start with programme evidence
The official Faculty of Medicine profile describes medical teaching and research, with undergraduate and postgraduate routes. Its undergraduate chart lists General Medicine separately from other health programmes.[1][2]

Official fee notice · 2026–27 academic year

Before paying: verify the current official invoice and recipient directly with the university. Currency conversion and bank fees can change the rupee cost. We have not turned this single-year notice into a fixed future package.
Classroom, hospital and licence
The Embassy of India’s 5 June 2026 advisory says foreign students need Vietnamese proficiency for practical training involving local patients. It also describes 12 months of hospital practice after the degree for Vietnam licensing, plus a government examination planned from 2027, likely in Vietnamese.[4]
A current CTUMP English-medium route for Indian applicants was not verified here. Ask for a signed intake-specific curriculum.
Request a Vietnamese learning plan, assessed proficiency target and the language used in placements and examinations.
Obtain competent-authority clarification of the hospital practice and licensing route available to foreign graduates.
India eligibility: do not describe CTUMP as “NMC-approved” or treat a WDOMS directory entry as approval. NMC’s foreign undergraduate registration framework refers to the applicable FMGL, screening and admission-eligibility rules. Your individual course and training facts matter.[5]
The institution, accurately pictured
The official website lists the university at 179 Nguyen Van Cu Street, Tan An Ward, Can Tho City. Confirm the exact teaching site and housing arrangements for your offer.[6]

Plan daily life: check accommodation address, rent, deposit, hospital travel time, meals, insurance and emergency contacts. Obtain written housing terms before booking.
Admission decisions need current documents
A current, complete Indian-applicant notice covering entry criteria, English-medium study and the application deadline was not verified in this review. Do not substitute a domestic Vietnamese admission cutoff or an exchange programme for that evidence.
Review your academic documents and passport alongside the NEET and admission-eligibility requirements applicable to you.
Match duration, curriculum, language, clinical rotations, internship and qualification across the offer and supporting records.
Confirm the dated fee contract, recipient, refunds, visa support, housing and arrival arrangements before making commitments.

A current intake-specific English-medium admission offer and curriculum for Indian applicants were not verified in this review. An English website or international tuition notice does not establish teaching language. Ask for written confirmation for every year, examinations and clinical placements.
Notice 240, dated 8 September 2026, lists annual tuition of VND 131,890,000, or VND 43,963,334 per term in three terms, for international students currently enrolled, including the 2026–27 cohort. This is one academic year, not an all-inclusive six-year package. Confirm applicability to your exact programme and offer.
No guarantee should be inferred from admission, graduation or a directory entry. Foreign undergraduate registration depends on the applicable NMC rules and individual course, language, internship and local-registration facts.
