Karaganda Medical University for Indian Students

Understand the medicine route, compare official fee evidence and prepare the right questions before choosing your university.

01 · Start with the exact route

What should families check first?

Karaganda Medical University publishes a six-year Medicine record, but the university name alone is not enough to assess an offer. Match the programme code, language group, complete clinical and internship plan, fees and licensing pathway before committing.

Use this page alongside the Kazakhstan country guide. For a fair comparison, ask every university the same questions and keep the written answers.

PROGRAMME

Identify your course

Keep the course code and award on the offer, contract and curriculum consistent.

BUDGET

Separate the charges

Compare tuition, accommodation, meals, documentation, insurance and travel individually.

APPLICATION

Apply personally

Karaganda’s published instructions require the applicant to submit documents directly.

02 · Read the programme evidence

The official record describes simulation and practical training, English-speaking and multilingual groups, and an internship-completion certificate. Obtain the actual language and internship timetable for your intake.

OTHER RECORDS · KEEP SEPARATE

Different routes are not interchangeable

An older General Medicine record, 6B10102, describes five years and 300 credits. Do not use it as evidence for the six-year Medicine route.

The separate joint programme with Kazan State Medical University describes years 1–3 in Kazakhstan and years 4–6 in Russia. A two-country structure needs its own regulatory assessment; it is not the same course.

English-medium questions: ask about teaching, examinations, clinical supervision and patient communication in every year. A language-group entry is not confirmation that all clinical learning happens in English. The university pages also display a site-development notice; confirm the current version of every programme document with the university.

03 · Use the correct fee schedule

The official one-page schedule lists the following study-year categories. These are prices for the 2026–27 academic year across categories, not a promise that the same figures apply throughout a new student’s future course.

Transcribed from the approved 2026–27 non-resident fee sheet, page 1. The presence of both sixth- and seventh-year internship categories does not establish your programme’s length or internship structure.

Do not mix fee routes: the general Medicine page also displays a KZT tuition figure. This guide uses the dedicated non-resident USD schedule for the foreign-student reference, rather than presenting the general amount as an Indian applicant’s confirmed fee. No fixed six-year rupee total is claimed.

04 · Follow the university’s process

Admission steps and documents for Indian applicants

International admissions guidance describes entrance testing and an online interview. It lists a passport, school qualification, application form and document translation or recognition requirements.

Apply personally: the university explicitly requires applicants to submit their own documents and prohibits intermediaries, agents and third parties in that submission.

Calendar needs clarification: the page heading says 2027–28, while its application and selection dates are in 2026. We do not advertise those dates as a currently open intake. Request a corrected calendar from the university.

  1. Confirm the route and intakeAsk for the current programme code, available language group, application calendar and selection requirements for a non-CIS applicant.
  2. Organise your documentsPrepare passport and school records. Check the current NEET requirements applicable to an Indian applicant and obtain the complete university checklist.
  3. Submit directlyUse the university’s confirmed personal-submission procedure. Keep your own access, copies and correspondence; do not delegate submission to an intermediary.
  4. Complete selectionConfirm the testing and interview format, identification checks and instructions directly with admissions.
  5. Review your offerMatch the programme, language, fees, beneficiary, refund terms and internship documents before accepting the contract.
  6. Prepare for arrivalConfirm visa and migration reporting, accommodation allocation, insurance and document originals before booking travel.

Our role is independent information and comparison support. We do not promise to submit a Karaganda application on your behalf. Use the documents and admission timeline guide to prepare questions for the university.

05 · Assess the complete qualification

Clinical training, internship and NMC/FMGL checks

Before choosing a foreign medicine course, obtain written evidence covering the complete learning pathway. An admission letter or a six-year headline cannot answer every licensing question.

01 / COURSECurriculum, duration and clinical rotation schedule
02 / LANGUAGETeaching, assessment and patient communication
03 / INTERNSHIPTiming, location, supervision and certification
04 / REGISTRATIONAwarding-country licence eligibility and Indian rules

Questions for the university

  • Which hospitals and clinical sites serve your exact group?
  • How much supervised patient work is included?
  • How is internship included and recorded within your qualification?
  • What examinations and other requirements apply to local medical registration?

Questions for your family

Can you document each answer before paying? Does the written course match the plan you can fund and complete? Obtain individual regulatory advice where the records leave uncertainty.

Read our NMC/FMGL guide and university evidence checklist alongside the official rules.

Indian registration is not automatic: never treat a foreign university as “NMC-approved.” A WDOMS listing is not approval or accreditation. Eligibility depends on the applicable NMC FMGL rules and individual course facts, including internship and awarding-country registration eligibility. This guide does not certify a Karaganda course as compliant.

06 · Plan everyday life

Hostel fees and accommodation in Karaganda

The approved 2026–27 dormitory schedule lists standard student places at KZT 30,000–45,000 per month, depending on dormitory. This is a rate range, not proof of an available room or an all-inclusive living budget.

ALLOCATION

Confirm the room

Ask which dormitory you can actually book, room sharing, deposit, contract length and whether utilities are included.

DAILY ROUTINE

Map your journey

Check travel to teaching and hospital sites, meals, heating, internet, transport and the support available on arrival.

STUDENT SUPPORT

Know your contacts

Keep university, accommodation and emergency contacts. Ask students on the same course about their timetable and practical experience.

07 · Questions families ask

Karaganda Medical University FAQs

How long is medicine at Karaganda Medical University?

The published Medicine record 6B10113 describes six years and 360 credits, with Master of Medicine as the award. An older five-year General Medicine page and a separate joint programme also exist. Confirm the precise route, internship structure and award on your offer.

What is Karaganda Medical University’s first-year fee for 2026–27?

The approved 2026–27 non-resident schedule for English/Russian instruction lists US$4,675 for year one. It lists different amounts for other study years and internship categories. Obtain a programme-specific contract; this is not an all-inclusive price or a guarantee of future annual fees.

Is the Karaganda medicine programme available in English?

The Medicine programme record describes English-speaking and multilingual groups alongside Kazakh and Russian instruction. Obtain written confirmation of the teaching and examination language for every year, plus the language of patient communication and clinical supervision for your exact group.

Can an agent submit my Karaganda application?

The university’s international-admissions instructions require applicants to submit documents personally and prohibit intermediaries, agents or third parties in that submission. Follow the university’s process directly. Our guide and counselling support are for independent comparison and preparation, not submission on your behalf.

Is Karaganda admission currently open?

This guide does not confirm an open intake. The admissions page carries a 2027–28 heading but lists application and selection dates in 2026. Ask the university for a corrected intake calendar and written confirmation before making any payment or travel plans.

Does Karaganda admission guarantee registration in India?

No. Admission, graduation or a directory listing does not guarantee Indian medical registration. Review the applicable NMC FMGL requirements against the full course, internship, clinical training, language and eligibility for registration in the awarding country.
