Chhattisgarh NEET UG 2026 Document Checklist

Official information checked: 28 September 2026

Which documents are needed for Chhattisgarh NEET UG counselling in 2026?

Keep your NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard, CGDME registration and payment records, allotment letter, Class 10 and 12 records, valid identity proof, recent photographs and all applicable domicile, category, PwD or NRI documents ready in original. Also prepare self-attested photocopy sets. The final checklist is the one stated in your current CGDME notice, allotment letter and allotted institution’s reporting instructions.

A missing, expired or incorrectly formatted certificate can delay scrutiny even when a candidate has a valid NEET score and seat allotment. This Chhattisgarh NEET UG 2026 document checklist helps MBBS and BDS candidates organise a reporting file before visiting the designated centre.

Important: this is a preparation guide, not an official admission order. Requirements differ by quota, category, college and counselling round. Check the latest notice on the official Chhattisgarh medical counselling portal before travelling or paying any fee.

Core document file to prepare

NEET and counselling records

  • NEET UG 2026 admit card
  • NEET UG 2026 scorecard or rank letter
  • CGDME online application or registration form
  • Application-fee and security-deposit receipts
  • Choice-filling or locked-choice record, if available
  • Current round allotment letter

Education and identity records

  • Class 10 marksheet and certificate for date of birth
  • Class 12 marksheet and passing certificate
  • Government photo identity proof
  • Recent passport-size photographs
  • Transfer, migration and character certificates if requested
  • Medical fitness certificate if requested

Carry the originals for scrutiny and keep at least two organised photocopy sets unless the applicable notice specifies another number. Place every original and its copies in the same order so the verification desk can check them quickly.

Documents that apply only to some candidates

Candidate claimWhat to verify before reporting
Chhattisgarh state quotaA valid domicile certificate issued by a competent Chhattisgarh authority. The 2026 CGDME FAQ identifies the domicile certificate as the primary residency proof during verification.
SC, ST or OBC reservationThe applicable certificate in the Chhattisgarh state-government format, together with domicile proof. The official FAQ says a central-format caste certificate alone is not accepted for the state reservation claim.
OBC reservationConfirm the current income and non-creamy-layer requirements. The 2026 FAQ refers to an income certificate from any one of the previous three financial years along with valid state OBC and domicile certificates.
EWS reservationCarry the valid EWS certificate and confirm that the category matches the permitted application data and current rules.
PwD claimUse the certificate required by the Chhattisgarh State Medical Board. The 2026 FAQ says a certificate from another disability centre is not sufficient for the state-counselling PwD claim.
NRI quotaPrepare the relationship, sponsor, passport, embassy and financial documents specified in the current NRI eligibility notice and certificate formats.
Special categoryUse the current official format for categories such as freedom fighter or Sainik, where applicable.
Upgraded candidateCarry the previous admission records and relieving letter where required before joining the newly allotted institution.

What happens at physical scrutiny?

The official 2026 CGDME FAQ states that physical reporting is mandatory for an allotted candidate. The designated scrutiny centre checks original documents before final admission can be completed. Candidates should report within the exact window in the current schedule and obtain the official scrutiny clearance or receipt.

For a private-college allotment, admission may not always be compulsory, but document scrutiny can still be mandatory if the candidate wants to remain eligible for later rounds. Round-specific forfeiture and debarment rules can apply, so read the current notice rather than relying on an older round’s instructions.

Five checks before leaving for the reporting centre

  1. Match names and dates. Check spelling, date of birth, parent names and category across the NEET form, school records and certificates.
  2. Check certificate format and validity. A correct category name on an expired or wrong-format certificate may still fail scrutiny.
  3. Open the latest official notice. Confirm the reporting centre, date, time and whether the college or a nodal centre handles scrutiny.
  4. Keep proof of every payment and submission. Save digital copies on your phone and email, but carry printed copies for reporting.
  5. Do not wait for the final hour. Travel delays or a document correction can make same-day reporting difficult.

Common document mistakes to avoid

  • Carrying photocopies while leaving an essential original elsewhere.
  • Using a central caste certificate when the state format is required.
  • Assuming an allotment letter alone completes admission.
  • Following a forwarded WhatsApp list instead of the current CGDME notice.
  • Ignoring scrutiny because the candidate does not plan to accept a private seat.
  • Submitting unclear scans or leaving uploaded records without a saved acknowledgement.

Planning another medical-education option?

Chhattisgarh state counselling and an application for medical education abroad are separate processes. Keep official counselling records complete while comparing total cost, licensing rules, clinical training, language, internship and the awarding country’s registration pathway.

Frequently asked questions

Are photocopies enough for Chhattisgarh NEET UG scrutiny?

No. CGDME’s 2026 guidance requires physical scrutiny of original documents. Keep photocopy sets as supporting records, but do not leave essential originals behind.

Is a central OBC, SC or ST certificate enough for state quota?

The official 2026 FAQ says category certificates must follow the Chhattisgarh state-government format and be supported by domicile proof for a state reservation claim.

Can I skip scrutiny if I do not want the private-college seat?

Do not assume so. The 2026 FAQ says scrutiny may still be mandatory to continue in later counselling rounds, and forfeiture rules depend on the round.

Where should I confirm the final list?

Check the latest CGDME notice, rules, certificate formats, candidate login and the reporting instructions from the allotted institution.
