Editorial review: 24 September 2026. Key programme, admission and institutional sources rechecked 5 October 2026. Editorially reviewed by Dr. Akash Rao, Founder and International Education Consultant at Scholars Abroad.

Kimyo International University in Tashkent for Indian students: understand the published evidence, plan the complete cost and check the exact General Medicine pathway. This guide separates university information from the documents your family still needs before applying.

Degree-name clarification: Indian families often search for “Kimyo International University MBBS.” The university and World Directory describe the course as General Medicine and the qualification as General Practitioner or Physician (General Medicine). Check the exact programme and final diploma title instead of assuming the award is legally named MBBS.

Kimyo International University in Tashkent can enter an Indian student’s shortlist after a programme-level review. The official General Medicine page confirms programme code 60910200, a six-year duration, clinical practice and a final-year internship. The general Tashkent admission page describes study in Uzbek, Russian and English; the dedicated international fee source is reviewed below.

The World Directory record lists Kimyo International University School of Medicine as operational, with medical instruction beginning in 2021 and a six-year Physician (General Medicine) programme. However, its current public record leaves the language-of-instruction and foreign-student fields blank. Applicants therefore need written confirmation for the exact English group, every clinical year, internship structure and eligibility for a medical licence in Uzbekistan.

Institution identity and document consistency

Kimyo International University in Tashkent was formerly associated with the name Yeoju Technical Institute in Tashkent. The university now uses the Kimyo name, while WDOMS preserves Yeoju Technical Institute School of Medicine as an alternate name. A name change is not automatically a concern, but every document for one applicant must identify the same current legal institution, programme and campus.

Before paying, compare the application acknowledgement, offer, admission order, tuition contract, invoice, visa support, student registration, transcript, curriculum, medium letter, internship record and final diploma. Ask the university to explain any different institution, branch, partner or payment beneficiary in writing.

Programme duration, degree and internship

KIUT publishes a six-year General Medicine programme leading to the qualification of General Practitioner. Its programme summary includes foundational sciences, pre-clinical training, clinical practice and a final-year internship. WDOMS also records six years and the qualification Physician (General Medicine).

This is useful evidence, but “final-year internship” does not show the exact number of supervised internship months or whether the structure satisfies every requirement applicable to an Indian foreign medical graduate. Request:

  • a semester-by-semester curriculum and academic calendar;
  • the exact months of classroom, practical and clinical education;
  • the duration, hospitals, departments, rotations and logbook for internship;
  • confirmation that the internship is supervised and completed within the permitted institutional and country structure;
  • the title printed on the diploma, transcript and internship certificate; and
  • written confirmation that a graduate can apply for medical registration or licensing in Uzbekistan.

English-medium evidence needs written confirmation

KIUT’s 2026/27 admission page says the university offers studies in Uzbek, Russian and English. Its official application portal allows a foreign national to choose English, and the General Medicine page says a language certificate is required for study in an English group. These points support the existence of an English pathway.

They do not prove that every lecture, examination, clinical rotation and internship activity for a particular foreign cohort is delivered and assessed in English. The current WDOMS record does not state a language for General Medicine. Obtain a signed letter covering all six years, written and oral examinations, bedside teaching, clinical documentation, internship supervision and assessments. Also ask how Uzbek or Russian is taught for patient communication.

NMC and FMGL checks for Indian students

The National Medical Commission’s 2026 advisory concerning Uzbekistan asks Indian applicants to perform due diligence and follow the Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate Regulations, 2021.

Match KIUT’s written programme evidence with current requirements for:

  • the duration of medical education and supervised internship;
  • English as the medium for the required course;
  • mandatory medical subjects, practical work and clinical training;
  • the permitted institution and country structure;
  • eligibility to register or practise in the country awarding the degree; and
  • the examination and supervised-internship pathway applicable in India.

Read the NMC and FMGL eligibility guide. NMC does not publish a blanket list of approved foreign medical universities, and neither a WDOMS entry nor a consultancy can guarantee Indian registration.

What the WDOMS listing proves—and what it does not

WDOMS lists Kimyo International University School of Medicine as currently operational, with instruction starting in 2021. It records a six-year General Medicine programme and the qualification Physician (General Medicine). The record also gives FAIMER school ID F0008853 and lists ECFMG-eligible graduation years from 2027 onward, subject to all other ECFMG requirements.

WDOMS is a directory, not an NMC or WHO approval list. The ECFMG note does not guarantee certification, a US licence or Indian eligibility. The record currently leaves several programme fields blank, including language of instruction and foreign-student admission. Verify those points directly.

Medical school track record

KIUT says General Medicine and Dentistry were established in 2021. WDOMS also records 2021 as the start of medical instruction and 2027 as the first listed ECFMG graduation year. This means the school is comparatively young and a long history of graduating international doctors is not yet available.

Ask for intake-wise numbers covering admitted students, nationalities, annual progression, examination results, transfers, withdrawals, internship placements and graduates. Do not treat USMLE preparation courses, exchange visits or student competition results as proof of licensing outcomes.

Kimyo General Medicine tuition and total six-year cost

Fee-source check: 16 October 2026. KIUT’s international-admissions table lists US$3,500 per academic year for six-year General Medicine, without naming the academic year. Confirm applicability to your intake and English group.

The separate general Tashkent table shows 29,664,000 in its full-time column. Its displayed row does not establish the foreign-applicant currency or charge period. Do not treat the two tables as interchangeable quotations or convert between them to infer your payable fee.

Turn the published rate into a usable quotation

  1. Match the applicant: obtain a dated contract naming the Tashkent campus, General Medicine, language group, nationality category and intake.
  2. Match the payment: confirm the applicable currency, instalments, beneficiary, refund terms and future fee revisions.
  3. Match the whole budget: obtain itemised compulsory charges and a separate housing offer. Do not assume tuition covers clinical or internship charges, insurance, visa, registration, meals, travel or consultancy services.

Multiplying one published annual rate by six assumes that the fee stays unchanged. It does not establish the complete programme cost. Keep scholarship assumptions out of the base budget until an individual award and renewal conditions are confirmed.

Use the quotation decision checklist and Uzbekistan total-cost guide to compare tuition, compulsory extras and living costs in their original currencies before preparing dated rupee estimates.

Admission route and documents

KIUT directs applications to its official admission portal. The Tashkent page requests identity and school records, a recent photograph and available language certificates. Confirm the assessment, language-group requirement, current deadline and document rules specifically for an Indian applicant to General Medicine.

  1. Check eligibility: review school marks, NEET validity, age and current Indian requirements.
  2. Verify the programme: request the curriculum, full teaching and clinical language, internship plan and licensing pathway.
  3. Confirm selection: ask which test or interview and language certificate apply to your group.
  4. Authenticate the offer: match the passport, Tashkent campus, programme, language and intake.
  5. Review payment: obtain a dated tuition contract, extra charges, refund terms and official beneficiary.
  6. Plan arrival: confirm visa support, insurance, reporting and local-registration instructions.

Use the documents and admission timeline to organise each stage.

Clinical training and teaching facilities

KIUT’s General Medicine summary includes clinical practice and final-year internship. The Department of Clinical Sciences says teaching occurs at clinical bases such as hospitals, outpatient clinics and diagnostic centres. The university also publishes a curriculum containing foundational, pre-clinical and clinical subjects.

Public descriptions do not identify the complete hospital allocation for one Indian cohort. Request the named hospitals for every clinical year, patient volume, departments, rotation length, local-language requirement, attendance, supervision, logbooks and assessment method. Ask whether students travel between sites and who pays transport costs.

Accreditation claims need programme-level checking

KIUT reports current state licensing and institutional accreditation. The university’s accreditation announcement says CAAAE accreditation covers the institution and selected bachelor’s and master’s programmes, but the public announcement does not list General Medicine among the accredited bachelor’s programmes it names.

Do not convert an institutional or unrelated programme certificate into a claim that General Medicine has specific medical-programme accreditation. Request the current certificate for programme 60910200, its scope, campus, language, award, issue date, expiry date and accrediting body. Then check how that evidence relates to the licensing rules relevant to the student.

Hostel and life in Tashkent

KIUT’s dormitory-preparation report describes rooms being prepared for students, but the public sources reviewed do not establish a guaranteed room or complete 2026/27 tariff for every new medical student.

Before travel, obtain the building address, room type, occupancy, gender arrangements, full price, deposit, utilities, heating, internet, kitchen or meal facilities, security, curfew, distance to the main campus and clinical sites, and exact allocation dates. Keep a verified private-housing alternative in the budget.

Student visa and arrival planning

Uzbekistan’s official visa guidance describes the A-1 student visa for foreign students studying on a permanent basis. Confirm invitation or TELEX support, visa validity, insurance, arrival window and local registration with KIUT.

Do not book a non-refundable flight until the university confirms the visa and reporting date. Carry the verified offer, tuition contract, payment receipt, accommodation details, insurance, medical records and original academic documents.

Red flags before paying

  • The programme is marketed as “NMC approved” or “WHO approved.”
  • The offer or invoice names a different institution, branch or unrelated company without explanation.
  • Payment is requested to an individual account or unverified beneficiary.
  • A six-year course is presented as proof of a compliant internship without a rotation plan.
  • English medium is promised without covering examinations, clinical years and internship.
  • The published tuition is converted into a guaranteed six-year package with no increase or exchange-rate risk.
  • A hostel is guaranteed without a room allocation and complete tariff.
  • Someone guarantees admission, a visa, FMGE/NExT success or Indian registration.

Apply the foreign medical university verification checklist before paying.
